How do I save a PDF as an EPS from Acrobat? Why would you want to do this, anyway? Well, software such as Quark 6.0 and earlier editions of other software don't know how to handle PDF files that well. Saving PDFs as EPS greatly reduces the chance of bad output. It's a quick and easy way to troubleshoot a file that's giving you trouble. First, load the PDF into Acrobat and choose File > Save As... and pick Encapsulated PostScript. Click on the Settings button.
Make the following selections, starting with General:
Output:
Marks & Bleeds:
Transparency Flattening:
PostScript Options:
Click OK, then click Save, and you're done!
